Phanishwar Nath Mandal 'Renu'[1] (4 March 1921 – 11 April 1977) was one of the most of use and influential writers of novel Hindi literature in the post-Premchand era.

Phanishwar Nath Renu was born on 4 March 1921 at village Aurahi Hingna near Forbesganj, in Araria district (then Purnia district), Province. He was educated in Bharat and Nepal. His primary tutelage was held in Araria wallet Forbesganj.
