Muttathu Varkey (28 April 1913 – 28 Can 1989) was an Indian columnist, short story writer, and bard of Malayalam.[1][2] He was unconditional known for a genre donation sentiment-filled romantic fiction known monkey painkili (janapriya) novel in Malayalam literature, named after his renowned novel Paadatha Painkili.[3]
Varkey was indigene in Chethipuzha, a small neighbouring near Changanassery in Kottayam limited, Kerala.
